Message From the KCFS Fire Chief
On behalf of the men and women of the Kershaw County Fire Service, I would like to thank you for visiting our website. As you will find there are many options available that help our citizens make contact with our department for various needs. I encourage you to take time to look through our many options and if you have a need, whether it be for a copy of an incident report to requesting a speaker, I encourage you to fill out the forms and one of our dedicated members will be in touch with you. KCFS takes great pride in our community involvement from attending events to installing smoke alarms to our citizens. All of this is free of charge. KCFS strives daily to provide excellent professional customer service to our citizens. Interaction with your local fire station does not always have to be during an emergency, and we hope that you will in fact call on us to be involved with you in other ways through our community engagement.
As the Fire Chief, I take the needs of Kershaw County seriously. Our members carry the mission, goals, and objectives of this department with them every time we leave the station. It is our goal to leave things better than when we found them, and leave a positive impression on those we interact with. If there is ever a time where you feel like you could have been provided better service or a better experience I ask that you let us know so that we can work harder to ensure we do a better job in future interactions.
We want to ensure that Kershaw County residents and visitors have an ease of mind as they travel, work, and engage in recreational activities here in Kershaw County. We are dedicated to providing not only professional response to emergencies, but a commitment to help educate our citizens and visitors on being better aware and prepared for emergencies from fires to water related accidents.
Never hesitate to reach out to us if there is ever anything we can do to help you, or have a better experience here in Kershaw County.
